BMTA would like to acknowledge and congratulate four of our Junior and Senior Mustangs Coaches on their recent successes at the Touch Football World Cup in Nottingham England.​ 

 

BMTA's 2024 14 Girls Blue Coach, Swain Rovelli, was Australia's Womens Opens Head Coach and led his team to a Gold Medal victory in their division defeating New Zealand 6-2. Swain is one of our Senior Coaches who we are extremely grateful and lucky to have as part of our Mustangs programs. Swain has been the Australian Women's Open Coach since 2016 whilst continuously giving back at an affiliate level by coaching BMTA's Junior and Senior Mustangs teams including Women's Premier, 12 Girls and 14 Girls to name a few. ​

David Crase was BMTA's 2024 14 Girls White Coach and Australia's Women's 27s Head Coach at the Touch World Cup this year. David and his team beat England 7-1 in the Gold Medal Match, flying home victorious. David also led our Women's Premier team at the National Touch League earlier in the year and assisted Swain in coaching our 2023 Women's Premier QSC team. David a a highly valued coach in our Junior and Senior Mustangs Program.

David had the support of fellow Mustangs Coach Tim Gall who managed Australia's Women's 27s team. Tim has been an incremental part of our Mustangs coaching teams over the years. We are extremely appreciative of his efforts including coaching our 14 Girls Red Junior Mustangs for the last two years, who were State Champions in 2023 and progressed to the Grand Final in 2024. Tim also lead our Women's 27s team at the 2024 National Touch League where they became National Champions and was awarded QTF Junior Affiliate Coach of the Year in 2022.

Leeanne Bauer was Head Coach of Australia's Women's 40s team as well as BMTA's 12 Girls Red Head Coach for our 2024 Junior Mustangs Program. At the Touch World Cup, Leeanne and her team defeated New Zealand 4-1 in the Gold Medal Match, being named World Champions. Leeanne is an integral part of BMTA being - Secretary of our Board, a Life Member as of 2022 and one of our two Junior and Senior Mustangs Coaching Directors. BMTA are extremely fortunate to have Leeanne as part of our coaching teams year in and year out.
