On Wednesday, BMTA was proud to host the Patron’s VI vs Chairman’s VI match to raise money for the Small Steps 4 Hannah foundation. The match was a huge success with so many key members of the local community lacing up the boots for a great cause. The Small Steps 4 Hannah Foundation exists to HALT the cycle of domestic violence so that everyone can feel respected, informed, confident to act, and safe. In total, BMTA is pleased to share that $1510.00 was raised for the Small Steps 4 Hannah foundation.

The Patron’s VI was captained by BMTA Patron and Local Member for Greenslopes, Mr Joe Kelly MP. Joe’s side comprised of many prominent members of the local community including Small Steps 4 Hannah Board Member and Councillor for Coorparoo, Cr Fiona Cunningham. The Chairman’s VI side was captained by BMTA Chairman, Corey Nolan. Corey’s side comprised of many BMTA staff, board members, sponsors and key stakeholders.

It was a fantastic and hard-fought match with the Chairman’s VI ultimately emerging victorious 9-6 after a couple of tries late in the second half. BMTA wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to all those who participated and the many members who came out to spectate and support a great cause. BMTA also wishes to thank Mr Joe Kelly MP for helping formulate the concept of the match and organizing a team to take part, we are very proud to have a long-standing relationship with Joe as our Patron and Local Member.
