How to become a Referee

If you are already qualified...

If you have already taken part in at least a Level One referee course and wish to start refereeing at BMTA, please complete the following forms and email them to Mitch on

You will also need to advise Mitch of your referee badge level and the nights that you wish to referee. 


  • Monday  Mens & Mixed
  • Tuesday Mens & Mixed
  • Wednesday Junior Boys, Mens, Mixed, Womens & Mens Over 30’s.
  • Thursday Junior Girls


  • Monday Mens & Mixed
  • Tuesday Mens & Mixed
  • Wednesday Mens, Mixed, Womens & Mens Over 30’s.
  • Thursday Junior Girls
  • Friday Junior Boys and Metro Cup

Lastly, it is a requirement at BMTA that all referees have a current Blue Card . Please advise us of your blue card number and expiry date.

If you are not yet qualified...

Referees play an integral role with all Touch Football competitions. Love them or loathe them, there would be no games without them. 

If you are interested in having fun, getting fit, and making new friends or making a bit of money, you should consider being a referee, you won't regret it. 

Brisbane Metropolitan Touch Association conducts introductory Level one referee courses throughout the year. Course dates can be found on the  2017 Course Dates TBA

You must be 13 years old to commence refereeing at Brisbane Metropolitan Touch however you can take part in the course before this age. Both males and females are welcome to referee.  All referees at Brisbane Metropolitan Touch Association are paid weekly.
